Pack a tiny fan—helps you sleep. When traveling, just go for a one meal sort of plan.   A decent breakfast, fruit and crackers at lunch and a reasonable meal—small portions are key—good to try the food but why stash it away as if hibernating for winter.   Moderation is the key—and don’t eat tomatoes in any country for any reason.   Just don’t!   A couple of weeks ago, I truly celebrated a long-awaited milestone birthday.   Facebook friends sure made me feel great.   One message was from a friend who sent birthday message at 12 midnight … one second after midnight to be exact … he said he wanted to be the first one to tell me happy birthday on my birthday … he said it’s not fair when people say ‘happy birthday’ on the day before … But he cared enough to stay up late … just to be the first happy birthday wisher … we discussed this … told him I was surprised he and his family had stayed up so late … on a school night and all … He replied, “Well, I set an alarm to wake me at midnight” … so, he had been asleep, set the alarm, sent a happy birthday message and went back to sleep.   Man, that really got to me … People can be so kind to other people… I guess the 'Twelve Days of Christmas' song is the worst torture ... it is like the Christmas version of 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall ... And, I think the worst job

Lights Out in June 2024 ...

  So, this happened. I did something good for all the bad reasons. No, maybe I did something bad for all the right reasons. Yeah, that’s the ticket. A couple of Mondays ago … I cleaned out the freezers. Threw away anything which was frost bitten … which was just about everything. But, I got snake bit ridding us of the frost bitten … I put out FIVE trash cans for the Tuesday ‘solid waste’ pickup. I always put the maximum amount out for the trash day … I feel like I get ‘gypped’ if I don’t … like I don’t get my money’s worth unless I’ve rounded up a lot of trash… kitty commode scoops always top off the garbage take out … So, Monday night … huge storm. Rain, hail, lightning that was so lightening that the darkness-activated landscape lights were blinking … no idea if night had turned into day. The wind was hellish … And … all sprinkler systems came on despite their moisture detection gauges which are supposed to block all high cost waterings … And five trash cans (bins…to use a fan
