I like ... First in a Long Series...

I like people who overlook my misspellings.  The way I figure it, I’m a full-grown 59 11/12ths year old man and if I can get past Auto Correct, then let my spelling be.  (See what I did there… let me spelling BEE!)
I like people who laugh at corny jokes.
I like French Vanilla coffee but not French Roast.
I like that someone called me a “Champion of Life”… and that kind of made me happy beyond belief.
I like when Facebook friends reply, “Awww”.  I like underdogs.  I like the cold side of the pillow and the first day smell when you turn the heat on…
I like people who say, “You’re a peach”… and others who use the term, “Ringed-tailed tooter” and “Wampus Cat”…
I like people who praise what they love and don’t whine about what they hate.
I don’t know the difference between “preserves”, “jam” or “jelly”… but I’m glad there are people who do know the difference.
I like the concept of “Faux” but do not like its spelling.  I was taught phonetics and this word in my mind’s eye can be a dirty word.
I like my mind’s eye.  I see moments of my life in my mind’s eye.  I like that.  A lot.
I like to embellish and do so about a million times a day.
I think I like Himalayan Salt; but will let you know.  It’s the new “Sea Salt”… remember when we were told salt was bad for us… seems that is only Table Salt which sure got a bum deal being named…
I like to do things ‘on a lark’; a ‘whim’; ‘spur of the moment’… always more fun than pre-planned activities.
I like to be called, “A handful”, “A piece of work”, “An odd duck”… or best, “A good egg.”
I like when people whisper tough words… like ‘divorce’, ‘cancer’, ‘diarrhea’…
I like the attitude, ‘what’s done is done’.  I dislike anyone who has ever used the term, “toxic people”.  People are not toxic.  Some are skunk-like and just best to avoid… but calling someone, ‘toxic’ is one of the lowest of all lows.
I don’t understand why Mathematics is plural but when we shorten the word it is singular;  Math.  Shouldn’t it be, “Maths”… I’m good at Mathematics.  I’m good at Maths.
I sometimes get myself into a pickle.  And I am yappy.
I’m the kind of person people write anonymous hate mail, or create hate mail and sign my name, or even go so far as to create fake email addresses using my name, and then actually spend their time making me look bad.  What a waste of time.  I can make myself look bad enough without all these fake message skunk-like people.
You never look good making someone else look bad.
I like ‘breaking news’ but it seems every newscast is ‘breaking news’… to me, breaking news is when the networks break into regular scheduled program.  But if the newscast is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m., and the newscaster says, “Right now, we have breaking news”.  No, you don’t.  You have regularly scheduled news… unless, at times, breaking news does really break into newscasts.
Regardless, ‘breaking news’ is over used.
I like people who know I’m going to Heaven.  I just cannot like a person who thinks I’m going to Hell.  They are skunk-like and that is not ‘breaking news’.
I like people who say, “Deep Freeze”, as in, “Because of that time Blue Bell Ice Cream was unavailable, I keep two cartons in my Deep Freeze all the time now.”
I like when someone says, “Oh, he/she is nothin’ to write home about…” That is the worst anyone should be allowed to say about someone else. They are not toxic, they are just people who are ‘nothin to write home about.
Writing home… now that is for another time, another rant, rave, and/or rose.

Another one… So, I like people who use the word 'directly' to mean a period of time...for example... "When are you going to fix that?"... "Some time here directly."
I like people who, when they use the words 'kind of' comes out as 'kindly'... for example.... "He is kind of a nut"... sounds more like, "He is kindly a nut." (you have to say aloud/out loud)
I like Rachel McAdams, the actress and the movie, "Bottle Rocket"--although she is not in that one... I like to wear shirt tucked in jeans with no belt and wish it was in style but, ... meh ... don't care what's in style so much anymore.
I like the man Denzel Washington and the actor Denzel Washington--ever since "St. Elsewhere" which was a brilliant TV series in which Denzel WAS in.
I like movies from the 1930's; Joel McRae in "The More the Merrier" although it was made in the 1940's. I like clothes so I have a lot and I don't care a flying flip who thinks that is weird. I'm rubber.. you're glue; what bounces off ME sticks to you ....
I like settling issues in an adult manner.
I like to vote for the candidates who make the LEAST amount of robo calls and junk mail. I like when you ask to be removed from a call list... and the entity REALLY does remove me and stops calling. I like that we have a "Do Not Call' List and wish it were 'paid attention to'. I'd vote for any candidate who just ran on the '
Do Not Call List' pay more attention to it campaign....
I like that instant when you can skip the commercial... the countdown is a funny thing we didn't have before.
I like Valerie Perrine and Ann-Margaret and Cher and Cloris Leachman and Valerie Harper and Carol Burnett (I won a 1972 district championship in Ready Writing with the subject: 'My Favorite TV Show is ... The Carol Burnett Show'")...I like Sissy Spacek but to be fair, I admit she hasn't done any real acting in awhile; I like the movie "In The Bedroom" and, no, it's not a porno. I like that girl who won an Academy Award for "My Uncle Vinnie" .. .she was nominated for being "In The Bedroom" but did not win. Probably because, like me, people forgot her name. (Marisa Tomei)
I like 'Smores Pop Tarts and cold, cold "sweet" milk. But, I have never had a real 'Smores and never will --- burns the roof of your mouth, right? I like people who say "sweet milk" as opposed to "buttermilk"--they have to distinguish in some manner.
I like Jeff Bridges and don't think he has ever been in a bad movie; same with Dennis Quaid--especially this latest one, "I Can Only Imagine"; but I don't like that other Bridges actor and no longer like Randy Quaid. What is that other Bridges actor?
I like the word 'lit' as in 'we went to the Ice House and got so lit'... I liked it better when I was 20 but think it's back in circulation. And young people think they invented it.
I like words like 'watershed', "freak out", boogers (instead of cuss words, that is my 'go to' word), "pester"--as in, "stop pestering your little brother/sister". I like to teach young children who are going wild in stores
the filthiest word you can think of and tell them to go tell their parents. Parents should not let children go wild in stores.
I like Star Trek but only with people who pronounce it "Star Track". Oh, truth be told? I hate Star Trek except the episode on Black Mirror... have you seen that? On Netflix--with the Mathlete from Friday Night Lights.
I like travel but now am too poor to go anywhere. I like days when the ankle/leg pain is tolerable--and people who would describe that as 'fair to Midland'.. is it 'fair to middlin'? I always say, "Midland"--you know there is a Goddard Middle School there? It has a rocket in the front.
I like a lot of people. And I like people who write it as "alot" of people with "a" and "lot" all one word. I like people who say "EXpeshially" for especially and despise people who correct them in public.
I like the practice of praising in public and criticizing in private--or, well, not at all. I like that you stayed with this long, chatty post until the very end. I'll thank you... here directly..
